There was a whole group of GXP concepts.
They were cars for SEMA, go figure.
But, some of them actually came to be production cars. Those being the Grand Prix and Bonneville.
If someone can find me this picture in 1600x900 or bigger, you'll be my favorite person ever.

OH GOD NO GET THAT THING AWAY FROM ME.

That thing is the biggest reason I hate the G6 so bad.
![]() 09/09/2014 at 20:49 |

Yep. But, they were all cars Pontiac already made. There was never a production Sunfire GXP to my knowledge.

It's a good looking car other than that monstrosity.

Ah, I see. I wish Pontiac lasted longer. Their cars were just starting to return to an acceptable level of quality when they were cut.

This, I actually would like to hoon.
![]() 09/09/2014 at 20:52 |

That's the case for both Pontiac and Saturn.
Too little, too late I suppose. I wish they'd return one day still though.

Hoon you would, considering it had a 4.6 Northstar.
![]() 09/09/2014 at 20:55 |

Wasn't the Northstar a bit of a dog?
Unless it was SC. GM products with superchargers are always awesome.

Yeah the coupe version was pretty nice.

It made 275 horsepower and 300 ft-lbs of torque. And moved the Bonneville to 60 in 6.5 seconds.
Not exactly a dog IMO.

Theres a guy up the street from me who has one. He also has an unrestored fifties Buick Century and a Model T stuffed in his garage.

Good god, get those G3s away from that G8!
Those camo trucks though.
![]() 09/09/2014 at 21:59 |

Oh man, those G3s are currently, the best selling vars in Mexico. Its called the Aveo, sold by Chevrolet in sedan form only. 4 speed auto.
![]() 09/09/2014 at 22:25 |

Look like this?
Omg no they don't. You guys get the awkward "not quiet a Sonic" Aveo5 front end.
![]() 09/09/2014 at 22:50 |

Oldsmobile was doing something similar before they got the axe, they were toying with the idea of creating an in-house performance parts brand, a la Mopar. To that end they created OSV (Oldsmobile Specialty Vehicle) versions of the Alero, the Intrigue, and the Silhouette. The Alero had a supercharged 2.4 Ecotec while the other two got SC 3500 V6s.

That's just... horrible.

You know who buys them. Small women. Thats pretty much 80% of their clientele. In know of 4 of them who were bought by this demographic.

People who just want a car to get from A to B I guess.
